TTS Group has signed two 85-ton truss boom offshore cranes to Azerbaijan through its agreement with TTS NMF, Germany, for a total value of approximately NOK 55 million (approximately US$ 8.9 million).
It is reported that the contract is signed with the Caspian Drilling Company of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The crane will be used for a semi-submersible drilling rig to be built at the Bakuri Sea Shipyard, further strengthening the TTS NMF's foothold in the offshore market. These cranes are tailor-made for the harsh sea conditions of the Caspian Sea and provide efficient loading and unloading. In 2013, TTS NMF had received orders for two 70-ton sea truss boom cranes, demonstrating the company's ability to develop innovative products.
