On November 28, at the 800,000-ton/year ethylene project construction site of Sinopec Wuhan Branch, the fourth construction company of Sinopec held the lifting ceremony for the second propylene distillation tower of the ethylene plant.
The second propylene distillation tower of the ethylene plant has a lifting weight of 1200 tons, a height of 102.25 meters and a diameter of 7 meters. It is the highest and heaviest tower in ethylene engineering. The hoisting operation was completed by the Fourth Construction Company of Sinopec Corp. using a 2500-ton gate type hydraulic lifting system after the Wuhan Ethylene Project completed the complete lifting of the quench tower and quench tower.
In order to ensure a successful lifting of the tower, the project department organizes all professional teams to perform construction from the disassembly and assembly of the hoisting system to the protection of the tower body, the pipelines attached to the tower, and the electrical lighting. The construction takes less than 25 days. Time completed the installation of a 113-meter-high, 2,500-ton door-type hydraulic lifting system. It completed less than 20 days of complete installation of the tower and anti-corrosion and insulation work.
