Caterpillar recently held the "Caterpillar Day" event at the American Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo Site. It is understood that the Yangtze River Delta region is Caterpillar's important manufacturing and R&D base in China. Zhu Jiming, the company's global vice president and chairman of China, said: "Jiangsu is our company's most concentrated investment place in China. In 2009 we established the Caterpillar Wuxi Technology R&D Center. In 2010, we established Caterpillar Suzhou Co., Ltd. Xuzhou company has fully controlled and expanded."
