Foreign media reported recently that Kamaz, a Russian heavy truck manufacturer that Daimler holds in part, is negotiating with several potential Chinese partners and is expected to establish a joint venture next year.
According to reports, Kamaz company stated that it hopes to produce 10,000 cars per year in China and export some of these vehicles to Latin America and Central America.
Ashot Alutinian, Marketing and Advertising Manager of Kamaz Company stated that the factory is expected to be located in Dalian. The Chinese partners plan to invest approximately US$13 million in joint ventures to build eight sales and service centers.
