The new plant is located in Lipetsk, Russia, and Rhein Chemie, a subsidiary of the LANXESS Group, will start production of rubber chemicals at the plant for supply to markets such as Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Anno Borkowsky, general manager of Rhine Chemicals, stated: “We are seeing increasing demand for high-quality rubber products from the Russian automotive and tire industries. The new plant can produce 1,500 tons of pre-dispersed polymer Rhenogran rubber additives annually, which can be used in the production of high-tech elastomer products such as profiles, hoses and seals as well as in the production of automobile tires.
