In order to effectively use the excess methane and hydrogen gas and prevent the pollution caused by the burning of the flaming torch, the plant technicians added flow orifices to the power boilers to increase the number of cut-off valves, check valves, and showers, and introduced methane hydrogen gas into the boilers. Hydrogen replaces the fuel gas, forms the combustion method of methane hydrogen and oil mixed combustion, reduces the steam cost, and improves the boiler thermal efficiency.
This plant has 8 reciprocating air compressors, which have been used for 26 years. The equipment technology is relatively backward, which can no longer meet the production needs. After adding 3 sets of centrifugal compressors to this plant, the production and operation capacity of one set of the original 3 units, saving 52 kilowatts per hour.
The original frequency converter of this plant's ethylene-propylene-rubber unit was in the mid-1990s. Many failures resulted in the discontinuation of the production of the ethylene-propylene rubber A-line, which seriously affected the normal operation of the unit. To this end, they began to implement technological transformation from the beginning of the year, updated extruder inverters and new high-voltage switch cabinets, etc., to prevent unplanned parking due to inverter faults.
