The Ministry of Water Resources Water Resources Management Department's 2010 Water Resources-based Special Project, “The Construction of Water Measurement Facilities in Zhangjiagang City,†undertaken by the Zhangjiagang City Water Resources Management Department, passed an expert acceptance in Beijing.
It is reported that since 2000, the city has been boldly innovating and exploring water extraction measurement facilities for the purpose of strengthening water resources management, improving water use efficiency, and has introduced IC card smart water meters, YQ code smart water meters, and ultrasonic on-line monitoring flow meters. And other modern measurement facilities, and on this basis developed a "Zhangjiagang city water management information system," and formulated a related management and supervision system, effectively safeguarding the operation and integrity of the water consumption measurement facilities.
The “Zhangjiagang City Water Metering Facilities Construction†is based on summarizing and refining the practical experience of the city, and also combining the specific requirements for the construction of the water withdrawal measurement facilities in the first phase of the Jiangsu Provincial Water Resources Management Information System, to measure the city’s water withdrawal. The unified planning and design of facility construction were carried out, and concrete implementation plans were put forward, which were fully affirmed by the participating experts.
