Eletson plans to build 5 LEG ships

According to trade news, Greek tanker Eletson recently ordered $ 183 million to build five LEG ships, built by Hyundai Miura Shipyard and expected to be delivered in March 2016. This is the first time the shipowner has invested in a custom LEG ship. According to market sources, the new shipbuilding size is 12,000 cubic meters and is expected to be used for LEG trade in the US/South Africa and the Middle East.

According to reports, this is the first time that the modern tailing shipyard built an LEG ship. Since the shipyard was built in 1997, the liquefied gas carriers built have been medium-sized LPG ships and delivered to Eletson, Navigator Gas, Schulte Group, Sloman Neptun Schiffahrt and many other companies. The shipyard is currently constructing liquefied gas carriers for Exmar, Geogas, JX Group and SCF Group (Sovcomflot).
